Story:
Card Captor Sakura, know as CCS among fans is a tale about a young
girl named Sakura Kinomoto who opens a mysterious book in her
father's study and accidentally lets loose the magical Clow Cards.
These hold the power of many elements and if left uncontrolled could
destroy the world. Now it's up to her with the help of the guardian
of the book Kero-chan to find those cards before it's too late.
Review:
I always liked this manga for it's extremely
beautiful artwork and a very solid story. Produced by 4 women, know
as CLAMP who are these days considered as the 4 Goddess of Manga,
CCS delivers a very enjoyable read. Fans love anything and
everything done by CLAMP so this is an excellent place to start.
There's plenty of fashion in this story as the main character unlike
other magical girl stories constantly changes her outfit thanks to
her good friend Tomoyo. The story has 12 manga volumes and 2
different arcs, so there's quite a good deal to read.
The plot
itself provides quite a lot of magical action, with Sakura's almost
daily fights trying to capture the cards. It has a good deal of
romance as well and by far some of the best looking guys out there (Yukito
being one of them) ;D I really do recommend this series to anyone
interest in reading exceptionally good shoujo.Extras:
